JunMei China Xiao Shennongjia Forest Wild Black Tea
$21.99 – $304.99Price range: $21.99 through $304.99
This distinctive wild black tea originates from Badong County in Enshi, Hubei—the “Little Shennongjia” region—situated along the upper reaches of the Shennong River within the core zone of the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey Reserve, a natural treasure trove recognized as a World Heritage Site. The raw material is harvested from tea bushes growing at altitudes between 800 and 1500 meters, selecting one bud with three to four leaves, rich in selenium.
The dry leaves are robust, tightly rolled, and slightly twisted, presenting a dark brown hue. The brewed liquor is bright orange-yellow with a golden rim. Smooth and mellow on the palate, it reveals distinctive wild mountain character and an elegant floral fragrance, with a refreshing sweetness lingering on the tip of the tongue. The thick leaves withstand multiple infusions, offering both flavor and nutritional benefits. This is a uniquely exceptional local tea.
