Lapsang Souchong (Zhengshan Xiaozhong)

Zhengshan Xiaozhong originates from the Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve, where forest coverage reaches 96.3%. With an average elevation of 1,200 meters, the region experiences 120 days of misty weather annually. Temperatures ranging from 11-18°C and acidic soil with a pH of 4.5-5 create an ideal growing environment.

As the world’s oldest black tea, created over 400 years ago during the Ming Dynasty, this variety undergoes no smoking process. The dry leaves appear deep brown, nearly black, with thick, slightly curled leaves. The brewed liquor is bright crimson, delivering a rich, mellow sweetness on the palate. Notes of longan and floral aromas intertwine, leaving a lingering aftertaste. Pairing it with milk or honey enhances its flavor profile.
